Rabol.id–Langkat: Plt Bupati Langkat H.Syah Afandin SH menghadiri Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus Bagi Mahasiswa Baru STKIP Al Maksum Stabat Tahun 2023 bertempat di Gedung Olah Raga ( GOR ) Stabat, Sabtu (2/9/2023).

Laporan Ketua Panitia oleh Mustafa Habib menyampaikan bahwa pengenalan kehidupan kampus bagi mahasiswa baru STKIP Al Maksum Stabat mengambil tema : “Membangun Solidaritas Menuju Universitas”

Mahasiswa yang mengikuti pengenalan kehidupan kampus bagi mahasiswa baru STKIP Al Maksum berjumlah 800 orang mahasiswa yang terbagi dalam lima (5) prodi yaitu: Prodi pendidikan teknik informatika (PTI), pendidikan guru sekolah dasar (PGSD), pendidikan bahasa Inggris, pendidikan IPA dan Pendidikan IPS

Diharapkan nanti melalui mahasiswa baru ini menjadi tenaga tambahan bagi kami untuk mempercepat proses perubahan dari STKIP Al Maksum menjadi universitas, mudah-mudahan dari kegiatan ini bisa menambah semangat kami juga untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan khususnya di Kabupaten Langkat

Plt Bupati Langkat H.Syah Afandin SH menyampaikan bahwa sejalan dengan visi Indonesia maju dan sumber daya manusia unggul maka cara yang lebih efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas suatu bangsa adalah melalui jalur pendidikan, di mana ini dapat tercipta dari proses pendidikan yang berkualitas di setiap tingkatan termasuk pendidikan tinggi.

Oleh karenanya dunia pendidikan dituntut untuk menyiapkan mahasiswa menjadi sarjana yang tangguh relevan dengan kebutuhan zaman dan siap menjadi kader bangsa dengan semangat kebangsaan yang tinggi, tetapi juga memiliki kemampuan akademik yang tangguh dengan mengembangkan pola aspek keterampilan personal serta keterampilan kepemimpinan.

“Maka salah satu momentum yang tepat untuk mengimplementasikannya adalah dengan program pengenalan kehidupan kampus bagi mahasiswa baru (PKKMB) sebagaimana yang dilaksanakan oleh STKIP Al Maksum pada hari ini,” ujarnya.

“Atas nama pribadi dan pemerintah Kabupaten Langkat saya menyampaikan terima kasih dan apresiasi atas terlaksananya kegiatan ini yang menjadi tahapan dalam menyiapkan mahasiswa baru untuk beradaptasi menjadi mahasiswa yang dewasa dan mandiri,” tambahnya.

Melalui kegiatan ini, Syah Afandin pun mengharapkan dapat menciptakan generasi yang berkarakter religius,nasionalis,mandiri, gotong royong serta mempunyai integritas tinggi dengan pembekalan yang diberikan agar mampu berproses dalam melaksanakan Tri Dharma perguruan tinggi. Sehingga kelak dapat menjadi lulusan yang memiliki kedalaman ilmu, keluhuran akhlak,cinta tanah air dan berdaya saing global

“Kepada anak-anakku para mahasiswa baru saya berpesan jadikan ajang ini sebagai pemacu dan motivasi dengan pembekalan yang diterima untuk melangkah pada tahap kedewasaan sebagai mahasiswa,” pesannya.

“Semoga momentum ini dapat membawa hasil sesuai yang kita harapkan dalam menciptakan generasi bangsa yang mempunyai karakter kuat dengan kemampuan akademik dengan SDM yang berkualitas,” tambahnya.

Banyak hal – hal positif yang bisa anak-anakku lakukan, untuk itu ditegaskan Afandin, jangan sia-siakan waktu dan kesempatan jadilah generasi muda yang menjadi kebanggaan bagi keluarga dan bangsa

Dalam kesempatan ini Plt Bupati Langkat membuat pertanyaan atau kuis berhadiah kepada 3 orang mahasiswa dan 2 orang dosen STKIP Al Maksum dan yang bisa menjawab di berikan hadiah Tumbler minuman dan uang 200 ribu rupiah.
