Agus Salim, M.Ked (ORL-HNS), Sp.THT-KL, atas prestasinya meraih penghargaan sebagai dokter teladan tingkat nasional kategori “Pengabdian Tanpa Batas” dari Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia. Penghargaan ini merupakan pengakuan atas dedikasi dan pengabdian dr. Agus Salim selama 16 tahun melayani masyarakat di daerah-daerah terpencil di Kabupaten Langkat.
Penghargaan ini diserahkan langsung oleh Menteri Kesehatan RI di Jakarta pada tanggal 15 Agustus 2024, sebagai bagian dari peringatan Hari Kemerdekaan Indonesia ke-79.
“Hari ini kita buktikan bahwa kolaborasi kita sebagai penyelenggara pemerintahan bersama dengan dr. Agus Salim, dokter teladan Sumatera Utara dan teladan Indonesia, benar-benar memberikan pengabdian tanpa batas kepada masyarakat. Pengabdian ini bukan hanya sekadar tugas, tetapi panggilan hati yang melampaui batas-batas ekonomi dan waktu,” ujar Pj Bupati Faisal Hasrimy pada Rabu (4/9/2024) di Kantor Bupati Langkat.
Pj Bupati Langkat juga menekankan pentingnya apresiasi ini sebagai bukti bahwa kolaborasi antara pemerintah daerah dan tenaga medis dapat menghasilkan dampak yang luar biasa bagi masyarakat. “Atas nama negara dan pemerintah, kami mengapresiasi dr. Agus Salim. Ini adalah bukti nyata bahwa pengabdian tanpa batas, ketika dilakukan dengan sepenuh hati, akan mendapatkan penghargaan yang setimpal. Mari kita semua jangan pernah lelah mencintai negeri ini dan terus mengabdi dengan tulus,” tambahnya.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut, dr. Agus Salim menyampaikan rasa syukur dan terima kasihnya atas penghargaan yang diterimanya. “Saya bersyukur kepada Allah SWT atas anugerah ini. Terima kasih kepada pemerintah Kabupaten Langkat, pemerintah provinsi Sumatera Utara, dan pemerintah pusat yang telah mendukung dan mengapresiasi pengabdian saya. Semoga penghargaan ini menjadi motivasi untuk terus berbuat dan mengabdi kepada masyarakat, serta menjadi inspirasi bagi rekan-rekan sejawat,” tutur dr. Agus Salim.
