Penyekatan Jalan ini dilaksanakan untuk mengurangi mobilitas dan aktivitas masyarakat masuk ke wilayah Kota Medan,sehingga Penularan Covid 19 yang sekarang ini lagi meningkat bisa ditekan
Pelaksanaan penyekatan Jalan dilaksanakan mulai pukul 07.00 wib s.d 24.00 wib dan melibatkan beberapa instansi, yang pelaksanaan nya dibagi menjadi 2 Shif, shif 1 mulai pukul 07.00 wib s.d 16.00 wib sedangkan Shif 2 mulai pukul 16.00 wib s.d 24.00 wib.
Adapun personel yang terlibat dalam penyekatan Jalan H. M Yamin-Simpang Aksra, Babinsa Koramil 0201-13/PST 2 orang, Yon Zipur I/DD 4 orang, Polrestabes Medan 5 orang, Satpol PP 1 orang dan Dishub 4 orang
Babinsa Koramil 0201-13/PST yang terlibat penyekatan dilaksanakan secara bergantian setiap hari dan hari Senin giliran Serma Heriyandi Siko dan Serda Jaya Gultom, penyekatan Jalan ini akan terus dilaksanakan selama PPKM Darurat yang rencananya sampai dengan tanggal 2 Agustus 2021.
